Why We Built BulkPicConv

The idea started from a simple frustration: every time we needed to convert a batch of images to WebP or AVIF, we had to choose between uploading photos to unknown servers, installing desktop software, or paying for premium tools. None of these felt right — especially for privacy-conscious developers and photographers.

We wanted a tool that was fast, private, free, and worked right in the browser. So we built one. BulkPicConv uses WebAssembly and Web Workers to perform all image processing directly on your device. Your images never leave your browser — not a single byte is uploaded to any server.
